At Alchemy, the Salon, we have two different types of stylists.
Our SESSION STYLISTS only book one client at a time creating a personal, focused, and calm environment. Each stylist has an hourly rate instead of a-la-cart services, which creates transparent pricing. Think of it like an all-inclusive vacation: your session includes all services within the time frame booked. Each stylists rate is determined by their experience and speed. You will know how much you are paying before you even come to your appointment. Our services are genderless and inclusive. There are no additional surprise add-on fees at check out, and we do not accept gratuity; we’re serious, keep it!
Our BOOTH RENTER STYLISTS run their businesses their own way. You will need to contact them directly for pricing inquiries.
Imogene Wilson- Owner, Master Stylist & Colorist
A Fairfield native, Imogene Wilson- the driving force behind Alchemy, the Salon- has spent nearly two decades behind the chair, and is committed to bringing out the inner beauty in each of her clients. Imogene specializes in dimensional color and balayage painting techniques, leaving your hair looking sunkissed, lived-in, and natural, whether dark or light! She loves cutting short hair (bobs, lobs and pixies) and doing a lot of razor work in order to create trendy and flattering shapes. Imogene knows haircolor like the back of her hand, as she used to educate for a well-known worldwide color brand,, before she had her daughter, Adalyn (3) who is the essence of her being. Imogene delivers a beautiful polished look, and her positive happy attitude will leave you feeling refreshed & ready to conquer the day!
Session pricing: $180 per hour

Mercedes McAfee- Senior Stylist
Mercedes is enthusiastic, and proves time and time again, there is truly nothing she can’t do when it comes to hair. Mercedes loves working with brunettes and vivid clients, and specializes in curly textures! She is very passionate about learning new trends and creating beautiful haircolor and shapes for her clients, continually educating herself on what the hair industry has to offer. Mercedes strives to make her clients feel comfortable and confident while working with them to finalize a result that will enhance their natural beauty.
Session pricing: $130 per hour
Jenn Ramos- Colorist
Jennifer is committed to giving her clients gorgeous hair. Well-educated in different hair textures, Jennifer specializes in long hair- foilayage & dimensional color, Brazilian Blowouts, treatments and haircare, and extensions. Jennnifer prides herself on making her clients feel confident on knowing what products they are using and how to achieve the same look at home. When she is not in the salon, she is busy being a mom to her 13 year old twins!
Session pricing: $90 per hour
Kristina Ivezaj- Stylist
Originally from Michigan, Kristina has been doing hair for over 20 years, both in Michigan and Connecticut. She specializes in extensions, long hair and finds inspiration in pushing the envelope with her creative color & cuts. While striving to get the exact desired result, maintaining the integrity of the hair is her top priority. Kristina also offers on-site spray tanning in the comfort of your own home! Kristina loves to collaborate with her clients to come up with an edgy and captivating look that reflects their personalities and lifestyles.

Jessii May Ruffin- Stylist
After almost a decade of creating beautiful hair in Fairfield, Jessii brings diversity, a bubbly personality and her passion for working with all hair types! She loves being educated in new techniques and prides herself on staying up-to-date on the newest trends. Jessii specializes in keratin treatments and tape-in or hand-sewn extensions, traditional color, and beautiful, polished wedding styles! Jess highly values building long-lasting client relationships, and can’t wait to have you in her chair!

Ashley, behind the chair for 10 years, is a happy, energetic and passionate stylist. She specializes in blonding techniques such as highlights, hair painting and lived in color. She also has a passion for bridal hair and loves putting together creative and beautiful updo styles for any and all events! Ashley will go above and beyond to make sure your experience with her exceeds all of your expectations!
